Restylane

Restylane recovery treatment is the product of modern technology to restore your childlike look.
But before the development of dermal fillers, age-related facial volume loss was only correctable with invasive surgeries. Thanks to these dermal fillers, women can now have the youthful volume restored to their face with just a few simple injections.

Restylane® Lyft

Restylane® Lyft is an FDA-approved dermal filler used to augment the cheeks in patients over 21 years of age. It’s also approved for filling in moderate to severe lines and wrinkles on the face. As women age, the fat in the cheeks starts to decrease naturally, causing hollow cheeks, sagging skin, and wrinkles.

Restylane for cheeks is a gel made from hyaluronic acid, a natural component found in the skin. Hyaluronic acid helps give the skin moisture, volume, and tightness. Hyaluronic acid fillers are popular because they can be reversed if needed, and they last 12 to 18 months on average.

What is the Procedure Like?

Restylane® Lyft injections may cause some discomfort. The areas to be injected are marked by the doctor before they’re administered. The gel is injected with a fine needle to ensure accurate administration.

When the injections are complete, the patient may be given a cold compress to minimize any swelling at the injection sites. Aspirin and NSAIDs may need to be avoided for the next five to seven days.

Side Effects

Restylane® Lyft side effects are redness, swelling, and itching at the injection sites.

Restylane® Lyft Recovery

Recovery is very simple. Many patients have their treatments done on lunch breaks and go right back to work afterward. Patients should avoid vigorous activity for 24 hours after the injections, but after the 24 hours they can go back to their normal activities. Sunblock should be worn and excessive exposure to sunlight should also be avoided.

How Many Injections are Needed?

This depends entirely on how much facial volume has been lost or if patients want their wrinkles injected too. Results last for 12 to 18 months, and subsequent injections require less of the gel.

How is Restylane® Lyft Different Than Restylane®?

Restylane® Lyft and Restylane® are both made with hyaluronic acid, but the Lyft formulation has much larger HA particles than the original Restylane®. The particles are larger to fill in larger areas like the cheeks, giving more volume with less product.

Hollow cheeks create an aged appearance more than wrinkles and lines often do, but these fillers create an immediate improvement in the face with no surgery or painful procedures. Contact Knox Aesthetics today to schedule an appointment.
